Thanks to all who participated in our July 1^st – December 29^th photo contest. There were an equal number of votes for Acer palmatum and Acer circinatum, and both of those were my favorites as well. I broke the tie by choosing Acer palmatum which was taken on November 10^th, 2014 at the Portland Japanese Garden, and Karen H. was selected at random as the winner. She will receive a 16" by 24" print mounted on a bamboo board, ready for hanging.

Buchholz Photo Contest

Christmas is upon us, and it seems that the past half-year rushed by at lightspeed.

It must be time for our biannual photo contest. I have gathered my favorite plant images from the past six months and you can choose one, only one, that you consider the best. The winner will be selected from the image with the largest popularity, and one of you will be chosen at random to receive the prize.

You could win a 16" by 24" print, mounted beautifully on a bamboo board, totally ready for hanging. You may cast your vote at info (at) buchholznursery (dot) com, not as a comment on this blog. If you do not win, you can order your favorite at $269, or for that matter, any photo from our entire website. I have a number of them in the office and at home, and they really pop off from the walls.

Contest closes at 4pm, Monday, December 29th, 2014 and winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 30^th, 2014.
